West Hartford Chamber Announces 2026 Spotlight & Beacon Award Recipients
WEST HARTFORD, CT – June 10, 2026 – The West Hartford Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the recipients of its 2026 Spotlight & Beacon Awards, recognizing outstanding contributions to the local business landscape and community. These honorees were selected by the Chamber’s Executive Committee, Community Engagement Committee, and staff, following nominations from Chamber members and the public.
The awards will be presented at the Chamber’s Annual Meeting & Spotlight Awards on Monday, June 22, 2026, in the auditorium at West Hartford Town Hall. "We're thrilled to bring this event back to West Hartford after many years in neighboring communities," said West Hartford Chamber President & CEO Chris Conway. "It's a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our award recipients while showcasing the restaurants and hospitality businesses that contribute so much to our community's character and success."
In addition to celebrating this year’s honorees, the event will include the election of the Chamber’s new board of directors and a comprehensive review of the organization’s accomplishments over the past year.
2026 Spotlight Award Recipients:

  • Entrepreneur of the Year: Davonte Dillion – Dilligence Training and DT Cares
    Recognized for innovation and significant impact on the local economy and community.
  • Business of the Year: Connecticut GI
    Celebrated for overall performance and impact in areas such as business growth, job creation, community presence and innovation.
  • Community Impact Award: West Hartford Fellowship Housing
    Commended for consistent dedication to improving the well-being of the community.
  • Legacy Award: Daley’s Moving & Storage
    Recognized for more than 25 years of trusted service and community impact.
  • Rising Star Award: Allie Bellucci – Bellu Jean Creative
    Honored as early-career individuals making notable contributions to their field and the community.
  • Chamber Volunteer of the Year: Jamie Rice – JQR Capital
    Honored for exceptional service and dedication to the Chamber.
2026 Beacon Award Recipients:
  • Elizabeth Gustin Basil Women’s Leadership Award: Laura Sheehan – Capital Classics Theatre Company
    Established in 2022 this award honors women making outstanding leadership contributions in West Hartford, inspired by the legacy of Elizabeth Gustin Basil, the Chamber’s first woman chairperson.
  • Noah Webster Award: Andrew & Joyce Mandell – Mandell Family Foundation
    Since 1989 this prestigious award recognizes exceptional commitment and service to the Town of West Hartford and its community.
