Seniors Job Bank Elects Officers and Welcomes New Board Members

The Seniors Job Bank (SJB) announced the election of Officers and four new members to the Board of Directors at the Annual Meeting in March.
New Board members include: Jeff Ferketic (West Hartford), Valerie Gordon (Avon), Lauren Milardo (Middlefield), and Robert Rau (West Hartford). They join the current Board: President, Lester Primus (Suffield), Vice President, Clem Sayers (West Hartford), Secretary, Novelette Williams (West Hartford), and members Robert Calef (Bloomfield), Bob Cave (West Hartford), Anne Danaher (West Hartford), Jim Doran (West Hartford), Al Nweeia (West Hartford), Bill Pickens (Bloomfield), and Bernie Weiss (West Hartford).

Seniors Job Bank Mission
Established in 1974, SJB’s local, no-cost service for connecting jobseekers and employers has expanded to serving 29 towns in the Greater Hartford area. SJB is dedicated to people over 50 looking for part-time, full-time, and temporary work with businesses, municipalities, homeowners, and other employers that have work to be done.
 
With over 775 jobseekers in our database, SJB enables companies, professional practices, and government agencies to hire experienced staff offering an extensive range of skills and talents, blue – and white-collar.
 
Households and other domestic clients turn to SJB to complete home maintenance and improvements, and to arrange for a variety of personal services. SJB contributes to the financial and social well-being of its jobseekers as well as to the general economic health of the Greater Hartford region.
