Enfield Fencing Club Welcomes New Partners Madison Fournier and Ben Ide

Enfield Fencing Club is delighted to announce Madison Fournier and Ben Ide as new partners, joining co-founders Gherardo Mauri and Ian Tucker in advancing the club’s mission of excellence in fencing education and community engagement.

Madison Fournier, a registered nurse and previous the owner of Mama Coach LLC, brings her expertise in coaching and business to the leadership team. She is actively pursuing a Moniteur apprenticeship through the US Fencing Coaches Association, demonstrating her commitment to coaching excellence and advancing sabre fencing proficiency.

Fencing veteran Ben Ide, who began fencing in 1993 and has experience across all three weapons, joins the team as a seasoned foil coach. His extensive background in fencing, coaching, and refereeing will further enhance the club’s staff, ensuring high-quality instruction and mentorship for all members.

Together with Gherardo Mauri, a distinguished sabre fencer and coach with 30+ years of experience from Rome Italy, and Ian Tucker, renowned as a member of the varsity sabre squad for the Cornell NCAA team and current veteran fencer. Fournier and Ide bring a wealth of knowledge and passion to Enfield Fencing Club.

Enfield Fencing Club offers programs for all skill levels, from children as young as six in our First Blades program to adults of any age seeking to learn or improve their fencing skills. Whether inspired by childhood dreams of swashbuckling adventures or the elegance of Olympic fencing, Enfield Fencing Club is committed to fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment where individuals of all backgrounds, abilities, and identities can thrive.
