''Good Cause Gifts is now open in West Hartford Center, located at 973 Farmington Avenue. The store offers a range of products - home goods, accessories, children’s clothing and toys, women’s clothing and greeting cards!
Some back story on Good Cause Gifts, a division of Futures Inc., a non-profit that operates throughout Connecticut.
Ten years ago a dedicated group of parents sought ways for their family members with disabilities to become a more integral part of their community. A small idea grew into Good Cause Gifts, a stylish shop with high quality products that provides employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities. The store was Connecticut's first non-profit social enterprise. This means that profits from every purchase made go directly back into supporting their mission.
Today, Good Cause Gifts employs over 20 individuals with disabilities across their three locations in Berlin, The Hospital for Special Care and now West Hartford. While Futures Inc. has been in the West Hartford area for over 30 years, we are beyond excited to share Good Cause Gifts with the community.
