Overview
Option for part-time position with salary range of $30,000-$60,000 dependent upon the amount of patients seen per week. Lower end of salary range based upon ~12 patients per week, higher end of salary based on ~30 patients per week.
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Acupuncturist to join our collaborative holistic practice. This position offers a flexible schedule, as well as the opportunity to grow in a thriving new business with an expanding patient load. Herba Acupuncture is a woman-led, woman-operated business in the heart of West Hartford Center, offering Acupuncture and Naturopathic services. This position is open to all Licensed Acupuncturists, including recent graduates!
What We Treat
While our acupuncture providers have experience treating all types of conditions, our practice specializes in Women’s Health, Fertility, and Pain Management. We work in tandem with our Naturopathic Doctor quite a bit, as we believe the holistic approach is the best approach. Our acupuncture providers use modalities such as cupping and infrared therapy. We ask that applicants be familiar with these techniques. We are happy to support additional modalities you find helpful in your treatments.
Job Description
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of acupuncture techniques and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care. This role involves assessing patients' needs, developing treatment plans, and delivering effective acupuncture therapy to promote healing and well-being. We are looking for someone to help us expand, and we are open to hiring for as little as one shift a week, and as many as three.
This position has a tentative start date dependent upon insurance credentialing. About 80% of Herba’s patients go through insurance, and we require all of our practitioners to be in-network with, at the very least, two insurance companies before patients are seen. Applicants must be willing and able to be credentialed with Anthem, Aetna, Medicaid, Optum (UHC), Cigna (ASH) and the VA Community Care Network as a licensed acupuncturist.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine individual treatment needs.
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on patient evaluations and goals.
- Administer acupuncture treatments using appropriate techniques.
- Educate patients about the benefits of acupuncture and provide guidance on self-care practices.
- Maintain accurate patient records, documenting treatment progress and outcomes.
- Ensure a clean and safe treatment environment by adhering to aseptic techniques.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Stay updated on medical terminology and advancements in acupuncture practices.
Qualifications
- Certification in acupuncture from an accredited institution is required, as well as a valid and up to date CT acupuncture license.
- Strong knowledge of physiology and medical terminology.
- CPR Certification is preferred.
- Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
- Familiarity with trigger point therapy techniques is a plus.
- Familiarity with fertility treatments, including IUI/IVF is preferred.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of professionalism and ethics in practice.
