Relax and release tension with The Energy of Nature walks and hikes. The natural world can help us escape daily stresses and allow us to just be us. The Energy of Nature program is an opportunity to connect to nature on an even deeper level. During the program we will use all of our senses to connect to the natural world and feel the energy of nature in a variety of ways, including a brief guided meditation. You’ll learn to take the peace of nature with you into your daily life.

Reservoir #6
Join The Light Source Center for a hike through West Hartford Reservoir #6. We will start our hike with some exercises to prepare ourselves to feel the energy of nature and notice the shifts has the landscape changes. We will mostly be on the dirt roads of the reservoir, however, we will leave the path for a short time. This hike is only about a mile but we do recommend you wear sturdy shoes. We will meditate and if you prefer to sit we recommend you bring a sit upon. The area we have chosen does have some down logs and rocks that may be suitable, but as we all know nature can change from day-to-day. The entire program will be under two hours.
We will meet in parking lot 12, located at the very end. The walk is approximately 1 mile, fairly easy, and flat with one slight hill at the beginning.
