FUN FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY! Join us on Thursday, December 14 at 6:00 PM* for an enlightening evening observing the night sky from the top of Talcott Mountain!
We'll begin the evening under the 44 ft. dome in the Captain Alan M. Bean Planetarium, where we'll learn about the night sky and the Geminids Meteor Shower.
Afterwards, make sure you bundle up because we'll be heading outdoors for celestial viewing atop Talcott Mountain! With a wide array of telescopes at our disposal, we'll be looking for stars, planets (including Uranus) and other celestial gems, including the Orion Nebula, Perseus Double Cluster and the Andromeda Galaxy. The sky's the limit!
Help us help our neighbors this holiday season: Bring new or gently used coats, hats, mittens or gloves to donate to our Winter Warming Drive and save $1 on admission to a future Skygazing or On the Shoulders of Giants event!
$8 GENERAL ADMISSION/$5 TMSC MEMBERS
Due to limited seating, we strongly recommend making your reservations early. RSVP below or call 860.677.8571 for more information.
*PLEASE ARRIVE ON TIME! Late arrivals will not be allowed to enter the planetarium after the presentation begins at 6:15pm; they will, however, be able to participate in outdoor viewing with the group when the planetarium program concludes.
