WEST HARTFORD - In the spirit of Jesse Eisenberg's The Revisionist, which is making its New England Premiere at Playhouse on Park, the theater is hosting an inter-generational night on Friday, April 20 at 8pm. Patrons are encouraged to come out for a night at the theater with a friend or loved one from a different generation other than their own. Tickets for this event are now on sale, ranging from $30-$40. Student and senior discounts are available! The ticket price for the evening includes a talkback with the cast after the production. In addition, Playhouse board members will host a post-show dessert and coffee reception. The Revisionist is a comedic drama that explores the dynamic between a young science fiction writer named David, and his second cousin, Maria, a 75-year-old Holocaust survivor. In an effort to break from his writers block, David temporarily stays with Maria, who lives in Poland. As their bond grows, David learns a profound secret about Maria's past that challenges their relationship and teaches them both about the meaning of family. Individuals of all ages, whether they be Millennials or Baby Boomers, have experienced the challenges that come with connecting with others on a personal level; The Revisionist illustrates the discomfort, vulnerability, and lighter moments that come with those connections. The Revisionist runs through April 29. For tickets or more information, call our box office at 860-523-5900 x10 or visit www.playhouseonpark.org.
