Join us at the Talcott Mountain Science Center to learn the stories behind the stars and hear the legends that ancient cultures created to explain the constellations. Arrive at 6:30 pm and begin the evening in the Captain Alan M. Bean Hypospherium for an enlightening tour of the celestial bodies that will be visible to us in the night sky, along with a unique narrative that will provide insight on the myths and folklore behind the constellations we admire today. Afterwards, we'll head outdoors for a short walk to our final skygazing destination atop Talcott Mountain. With a wide array of telescopes at our disposal, we'll be looking for stars, planets, including Jupiter, and other celestial gems. Tickets are $8 General Admission/$5 TMSC Members. RSVP by calling 860-677-8571 or email daugust@tmsc.org. In case of inclement weather, the event will be held on Friday, March 18th.
