DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, November 21 2:00-3:00 ages 5-12 Acting and Puppetry 3:30-4:30 ages 13-17 Shadow Puppetry and Theatre Join us Saturday\, November 21 at Playhouse on Park (244 Park Rd in West Hartford) for a fun filled afternoon of creating puppets\, storytelling\, and acting out characters! Young actors will participate in age appropriate activities that teach both the basics of acting and narrative structure. Older students will also examine world styles of shadow puppetry and how they play a role in modern day theatre. The workshops will encourage students to use their imaginations to create original stories and handcraft a puppet to take home. The hour will conclude with a chance to perform with their puppets. In addition\, students would be encouraged to create a unique voice for their character. Register today! Space is limited to 12 students per session. $10/student *Participants are required to wear a mask and adhere to social distancing as well as a temperature check.
