SUMMARY:Colorful Conversations - Access to Healthcare in Communities of Color
DESCRIPTION:The Minority Business Network is pleased to announce a quarterly speakership series focusing on issues facing minority owned and represented businesses\n\nRacial and ethnic minorities sometimes face challenges in accessing and receiving medical care in the United States\; even those here in Connecticut. And when they do receive it\, their care may not be equivalent to that of other groups. Why this occurs is a challenging issue which may involve socioeconomic conditions\, abilities to pay top tier providers\, provider behavior and factors such as patient preferences\, transportation and more. For this Colorful Conversation we will get healthcare panelist's perspectives on the information received and treatment of people of color\, the impacts and the ongoing disparities that exist across communities.\n\n\n\nOn October 6th 2021\, 11am -12:30pm\, the panel for this conversation will be composed of selected healthcare representatives in the West Hartford area.
