DESCRIPTION:The Story Behind the Wheels\n\n\n\nLucas was born with a complex congenital heart defect and a rare genetic syndrome. His first year was filled with surgeries\, long hospital stays\, and challenges few could imagine. Today\, at almost ten\, he's a bright\, funny\, determined kid who continues to inspire everyone around him.\n\n\n\nDuring those months in the hospital\, small rewards like Hot Wheels  and Matchbox  cars helped him cope with fear\, pain\, and long days. Those tiny cars brought big comfort.\n\n\n\nFor his tenth birthday\, Lucas wanted to give that same comfort to other kids in the hospital. Cars for Courage grew from his wish to fill hospital toy closets with cars and playsets that help kids smile and stay brave.\n\n\n\nWe're collecting toy cars and donations at Kilwins West Hartford during business hours until November 30th but can accept donation online until December 21st. www.CarsForCourage.net\n\n\n\nThank you for helping Lucas deliver hope\, joy\, and courage\, one toy car at a time.
