DESCRIPTION:The Chamber is recreating the fun and excitement of our in-person Annual Meeting & Spotlight Awards virtually. The event will be held via Zoom on Monday\, June 22nd at 7pm.\n\n\n\nThe program will include Elections of New Officers\, Recognition of Outgoing Chairman\, Presentation of Awards\, and Year in Review.\n\n\n\nBoard members are celebrated for their commitment to the Chamber including announcing new Board members and thanking out-going Board members.\n\n\n\nAwards given:\n\n\n\nThe Noah Webster Awards are presented in recognition of extraordinary commitment to the West Hartford community in ways beyond the day- to-day requirements of one's professional duties.\n\nThe awards recognize:\n\n \n\n* Dedication\n\n*Special Concern\n\n*Beautification\n\n*Years of Service\n\n*Innovation\n\n*High Standards\n\n*Community Involvement\n\n*Financial Support\n\n*Professionalism\n\n*Vision\n\n \n\nWinner is chosen from the nominees by the Executive Committee of the West Hartford Chamber of Commerce.\n\n \n\nNew Business of the Year   A West Hartford Chamber Member Business or Organization which opened or was established between July 1st 2019 and June 1st 2020.  The nominated business or organization should have an immediate positive impact on the local economy and community. \n\n\n\nEntrepreneur of the Year   A West Hartford Chamber Member Business or Organization of any length of establishment which is innovative and has had a major impact on both the local economy and community.\n\n\n\nLegacy Member of the Year   A West Hartford Chamber Member Business or Organization which has been established for no less than 25 years.  They have made a positive impact\, built a recognized and trusted brand\, and have consistently contributed to the local community.\n\n\n\nUnsung Hero of the Year   A West Hartford Chamber Member who goes above and beyond to give back to the local community outside of their regular business or job.  They should be involved in multiple charitable endeavors.\n\n\n\nNonprofit of the Year   A West Hartford Chamber of Commerce Member which operates as a Nonprofit or Not-for-Profit Organization. Their work has a consistently positive impact on the well-being of the local community.\n\n\n\nEconomic Driver of the Year- A West Hartford Chamber of Commerce Member which has made a positive impact on the local economy in areas such as business development\, job creation and beautification.\n\n\n\nYoung Professional of the Year   A West Hartford Chamber of Commerce Member who is also an active Member of the FLOW Committee. This person has had a positive impact in the local community and is also involved in activities that support the development of young professionals.\n\n\n\nTo Nominate with explanation Click HERE\n\nThe evening usually attracts over 150 businesses and community leaders and is a great opportunity to become involved in the West Hartford Chamber of Commerce.
